Chaosword has no ads. The page is the puzzle: the grid, the clues, a timer, and a few tools. Our privacy policy says it plainly, and we do not sell or share your data with advertisers.

Do I need to sign up?

No. Open the site and start typing. Your progress is tied to your browser, so you can close the tab and come back later. If you want your streak on more than one device, you can sign in with an email link. That is the only thing an account does.

Why is it free with no ads?

Chaosword is a small independent project that we run because we like crosswords. It costs little to host, and keeping it ad-free makes it nicer to play. If that ever changes, we will say so on the site rather than slip ads in quietly.

Works on any device

Chaosword runs in the browser on phones, tablets, and computers. There is nothing to download. On a phone, the on-screen keyboard keeps the grid and the current clue in view. On a computer, arrow keys, Tab, and Space make it fast to move around.

What a day of puzzles looks like

Each day brings three grids that build on each other. The Morning 5x5 is a quick warmup. The Evening 7x7 is a proper solve with sharper wordplay. The Midnight 11x11 is the capstone, and on themed days it ties the trilogy together with a hidden link that is revealed when you finish. Play one, or play all three in a row and share your total time.

Every grid passes a strict validator before it goes live, so every square crosses cleanly and every answer is a real word. You will not hit a broken puzzle halfway through.
